This year is flying on by!

Hey guys

So these posts are getting fewer and further between!! Sorry. Life recently. Lets see. Its been a pretty emotional last week or so, everyone other than 4 of us is leaving and heading on home. There are a fair few of them gone already and more finishing in the next week. We drove Andrea to the airport yesterday which was very very sad. Everyone was crying. Haha funny moment, Jeremy- one of the guys who is staying on until January- is going out with one of the girls at Soarin. He was talking about how his ex is coming to visit in the next few days and how hes dreading it because shes a horrible person bla de bla. One of the other guys came in half way through the conversation and thought he was talking about the girl hes going out with now..... basically told him, yeah you're right, you can do so much better than her, shes not that great. It was really lucky Jeremy didnt hear him properly or that could have been a very nasty situation lol. We all found it hilarious... we just didnt mention it to Jeremy!! We played tennis again this morning but it was WAY too hot to really get into it. It ended up with all of us jumping into the pool. In other news, Im trying to move apartments... except that I got a letter today telling me there is no room in Patterson which is where I wanted to move to. Might apply for Chatham instead. Chatham is at least nicer than Vista. Ummm. Yeah thats about it!! Email me!

Um. Oops?

Hey guys!

Sorry I know its been a really really unforgivably long time!! Things have been so crazy busy around here its not even funny! So instead of writing out a HUGE big long email ill just type out the basic exciting happenings. Even though we all know Ill probably end up rambling lol. Ok Since I last wrote the following has happened.

- My family came! We went to the bahamas- plenty of drama around that one, ended up driving from Orlando to Miami, back to Orlando, back to Miami and back to Orlando again. Bahamas were incredibly amazing! The beach was gorgeous, just how it looks in the photos. We went to a pet shop in Miami that had snakes and lizards and fun stuff like that. Sooo soo many of them, it was crazy. I got to hold a snake which was pretty epic, although the boys were a bit too scared to because apparently "you cant pull anything off a snake like you can with other stuff". In other words, if it tried to bite them, they couldnt pull its legs off to get revenge. Little wusses those boys are... While they were here we also went to see some alligators, got to hold one of those too! Other than that it was pretty much just the theme park circuit! Was fun having them here, even if my sleep suffered a bit!

-I have been hanging out with work friends a LOT. This week alone we have been to a cast party and spent a day at the parks, gone on a day trip to the beach- sooo much fun, we dug a hole under the french boys towel. Highlight of the day when he tried to lie down :)- had a "Bring somehting you would eat at home" BBQ, and gone on a backstage tour of the Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom. That was this morning. It was amazing. Easily worth getting up at 5 am for lol. We had to meet at MK at 6.15, and seeing as none of us knew how to get to the cast car park we left early. Good thing we did too, we listened to Rebecca too much and got lost at pretty much every corner! WE got shown how all of the effects are created. So so so clever, cant say too much on here cos it would ruin the magic though. AMAZING. Imagineers are my heroes. Then we went for breakfast and I ate too much french toast. THEN I was wandering back to my apartment, vaguely thinking about going for a swim and I ran into Bonnie who was moving apartments. Somehow I got roped into helping her, poor wee thing cant lift anything to save her life :(. It was fun though and she gave me icecream so we are all good. That is a very brief over view of the excitement of my crazy life in the house of mouse. Oh! Brittany and Amber both arrive tomorrow so that will be fun! I think a Universal trip is on the cards.
Anyways, Email me you slackers :)
Love you all!

4th of July!

Hey!

So its now the 5th of July. That means yesterday was the 4th! And it was epic! Lol. Ok so I knew I wasnt going to see the fireworks because I was going to be at work so I went to see them on the 3rd at Magic Kingdom instead because they had a preview kinda thing. Me, Christian, John, Lindsay, Dianna, Chris and Melissa- I think that was all?- drove to the Contemporary and ran up to the roof to watch them from there. It was so amazing. There were fireworks right around the park rather than just over the castle like usual and there was music and the fireworks were incredible and it was pretty much just fantastic. There was a girl sitting on her dads shoulders who, about halfway through, decided to announce "These are really pretty but can someone PLEASE scratch my foot?!" Lol. Then we went downstairs and I got a free drink because the girl at the checkout was nice. Dianna squeaks when you tickle her. Sunday, the 4th, I went to church with Alex and Christian then out for lunch to Sweet Tomatoes- again. :) Church was interesting, because it was 4th of July it was all really really patriotic, they sang the national anthem and a whole lot of "God Bless America, Isnt America Great" kind of songs, none of which I knew. After lunch I went to a BBQ at Mickeys Retreat with my work friends. I was pretty late so most of the food had gone- not that I was hungry having eaten at Sweet Tomatoes- and everyone was out playing Volleyball which I though I just might throw up if I attempted. I ended up sitting at the table with Lindsay Sam and Patrick talking about stuff. Drama. So so much drama. Ridiculous. Work was funny, I ended up stuck out the front for most of the night which I usually really really dont like but lots of cool people were out there so it was fine. We were all pretty tired so we were trying to keep ourselves awake and entertained. We ended up thinking of random words and challenging each other to use them in coherent, noncreepy sentences to the guests. Turnip, funnel, flabby, gregarious, luminous and antidisestablishmentarialism got us past the 12am mark lol. One guy was just way too good though, we didnt stump him once! Almost got him with "flabby" but not quite. :) Oh well Id better go get ready for work. Love you all!

And another couple of weeks have flown on by

Once again, sorry, I forgot to update/have been a bit busy/couldnt be bothered. But whats been going on recently? I have 3 days left of work at Soarin which to be honest Im pretty gutted about. I decided on moving because there didnt seem to be any cool people coming in and because I would have gotten really bored staying there until January. But now cool people have popped up out of nowhere and I dont want to leave!! Im moving to the Towers gift shops which are these two matching gift shops at the edge of world show case. I get to wear a shirt with flags all over it and white shorts up to my waist with the shirt tucked in. I am also going to have to become the proud owner of a pair of white shoes. Ugh. In other news, My family is currently at the Niagara Falls but they are slowly making their way down here. So excited! Honestly cant wait to see them! Pretty sure everyone over here has heard enough about it to last them a life time! Yesterday three of the guys from work - Jeremy, Michael and Greg- went to Mickeys Retreat and played tennis. It was so much fun, felt really good to be doing something outside lol. Except that we were dumb/keen enough to do it in the middle of the day so it was REALLY hot and muggy outside. We were all so gross and sweaty by the end of it. Was fun though! I had quite a productive day actually, I made brownies and I did my laundry and I tidied my room a wee bit and I did my assignment for class and I read some Harry Potter. Then I went to work which, because we were all working so late, we had all decided to bring cakes. Thats what I made brownies for. So we had a LOT of cake. We were all on a huge sugar rush but then around 11pm we all crashed pretty hard lol. Wasnt maybe the smartest idea of all time. Was good while it lasted though!!! And today me and 5 of the other girls from work are going to Beaches and Cream which is an icecream parlour kind of place. They make whats called the Kitchen Sink which is a scoop of every kind of icecream and all of the toppings in a bowl shaped like a sink. Its HUGE. Noone ever finishes it but we think we are up to the challenge!!! So thats in an hour or so. Im still in bed :). Oh!! I didnt tell you about Harry Potter! Universal Studios has opened a new area called the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Its all themed and set up like Hogwarts and Hogsmeade. The day it opened my room mates waited 8 hours to get in. Just to get in, thats not for the rides or anything. It is so amazing. I got Butterbeer and ate at the 3 broomsticks and saw Ollivanders and Zonkos. The new ride they made for it is incredible. Its inside Hogwarts castle and the queue goes through Hogwarts which is awesome. THere are moving paintings and everything. The ride itself is insane, I dont even know how to start to explain it... You sit on a bench and fly all over the place, past dementors and a basilisk and through a quidditch game. But that makes it sound lame. I just cant explain it properly. AAAAAmazing. Yesterday it was raining really hard so I wore a rain coat to work. I took it off when I got on the bus then when I got off the bus I put it back on. Only thing was that I put in on inside out. All the rain ended up on the inside. But yeah thats pretty much everything for the last few days! 4th of July on Sunday so thats going to be fun. Even though I wont see the fireworks or anything. I kinda really want to see the fireworks!! Oh well. Im going to do somehting productive now. Bye!

TOY STORY 3

OH MY GOSH! We went to Toy Story 3 last night after work. 11.30pm showing. We got there at about 10.15 so we had time to go get Ghiradellis beforehand which was fantastic. I love icecream so much :). Then to the movie. It was fantastic fantastic fantastic! So so so good! Loved it loved it loved it. I cried lol. So did all of the other girls with us and a couple of the guys. The guy sitting in front of me, Vincent, has the funniest laugh ever. He sounds like a 40 year old woman. And he laughs at everything. So I was cracking up the whole way through just at him! Some of the others went to Hollywood this morning. I couldnt go because I had class. Yeah did I tell you I picked up a class? Creativity and Innovation. Its a college level class (kinda) and at the end you get a mousters degree. lol. It sounds like fun though. This morning was the first class and it was really good, the lecturer teacher whatchamacallim is funny as anything... Same kind of sense of humour as Dad lol. Good to be made to think again lol. Anyways, everyone else went to Hollywood. And they got to see Lots'o'huggin bear. Apparently he actually does smell like strawberries! I want to go hug him. And tell him off for being evil. Um. Oh and the other night I went to see Chicago! It was so good! THey had the band all up in the back centre of the stage, the whole thing was kind of set up as a jazz bar or something. It was fantastic- if you could get over the kinda dodge costumes lol. Anyways thats about it for the last few days. I got 6 hours sleep last night because I got home from the movies at 2am and had class at 9am. And now its 11pm and I have church in the morning. My sleep patterns are so bad! Oh well! At least I didnt totally give in to being stupid and go to Rachels to play wii. There is an epic thunderstorm happening at the moment. Huge lightning and massive as claps of thunder. Nothing out of the ordinary though, they happen at least every week or so here!
So yeah Im off to bed. Good night!

Whoops

So I totally forgot that I said I would update and tell you alllll about my adventures in Michigan. Here we go. I hope youre excited. Its pretty epic. We caught a train from Chicago to Grand Rapids. The train took 4 hours. It was really reaaaaaaaaaaaaally REEEEEEEEAAAAAAAALLY slow. I probably could have crawled quicker than that train went. Rebecca was complaining about it the whole way. I was quite happy drawing a picture. I think Rebecca probably thinks Im about 4 years old.. you know, give me some crayons and a cardboard box and Im happy for hours... Anyways we got there and Brittany and Bonnie picked us up. Apparently Bonnie was so excited our train was coming in that she started running towards the tracks and Brittany had to actually grab her so that she didnt die. Lol funny little korean child. We drove back to Brittanys and ate cake that Bonnie had made then went to bed. I was sleeping on the couch downstairs because Brits room isnt that big and there were three of them in there already lol. I think I had the most comfortable spot to be honest!! The next day we got up pretty late and went for a swim in the pool. Bonnie went down the slide into the deep end and kinda didnt mention she couldnt swim so she couldnt touch the ground and was thrashing around and drowning for ages before we decided we should probably go get her. Whoops. She wasnt too happy with us! After that she refused to let go of her little orange floaty thing. The weather packed it in after that so we went out for lunch with Brittanys mum and then to the movies to see Letters to Juliet. Ended up wandering around the mall for ages- they all insisted on looking in all the makeup shops, kinda wanted to shoot them. I got hungry so I bought a pretzel. Then we went home and watched Dear John because it was still rainy and gross. The next day it was really nice again so we drove about 40 minutes to the sanddunes and rolled down them and got sand in our ears. We walked down the beach and such and did the running away from the waves thing. Good day all up. When we got home we blobbed for a bit then went out for tea to one of those japanese places where they cook in front of you and throw food at you. I think my eyebrows got singed, the fire went a bit bigger than it was supposed to and I was a wee bit closer than I should have been. It was really good though! After that we were really really really full but we went for a walk through the city and along the river and saw the fish ladder. Lol, yes. The fish ladder. Apparently all the salmon swim downstream and cant get back up the little water fall thing so they made a ladder. Its pretty much just steps but apparently at the right time of year there are fish all over it. After that lovely little adventure we went home and made smores the american way with graham crackers and massive big marshmallows. :) Only the fire wouldnt catch properly so we went through an entire bottle of kerosene. They were good though. Bonnie ate 6. And then we went to bed and then got up and then went to the airport and then caught the plane and then caught the shuttle and then went back to our apartments and slept for a long long time. The end. :)

Chicago!

Ok! So yes, I know its been a wee while too long. My bad. At the urging of my parents- who Im pretty sure are about the only ones who read this anyway- I am going to update you now! I got home last night from an epic adventure with Rebecca, Bonnie and Brittany. Me and Rebecca flew to Chicago last Friday at 10 am ish. That was super fun seeing as I finished work at 12.15, got home at 1.15am, got to bed at about 2 and had to be up at 6.30 to pack!! I functioned reasonably well for the rest of the day considering my very limited sleep. So yeah we flew into Chicago and after much deliberation and confused-ness caught the train into the CBD. Luckily the train stopped about a block from the hostel we were staying at. Unfortunately we walked in the wrong direction so the one block became about 10 or so. With our bags. Awesome. We dumped all of our stuff then went for a wander to Millenium park which was awesome, there are huge big sculptures and stuff. There is one called cloud gate, I think its pretty famous. Its shaped kinda like a bean and its made of reflective steel or aluminium or something so it reflects the skyline in a crazy mirror kinda thing. It was amazing, you could walk under it and photo bomb other peoples photos really easily :). After that we started walking to the John Hancock tower but gave up because of rain and went inside the art gallery instead. It was crazy, there was so many pieces in there that I had studied! Picasso and Gris and Braque and Kandinsky and Hopper and Brancussi and Mondrian and that one with the American Gothic man and woman with the pitchfork. It was awesome. Except that by about half the way around it I was getting really hungry which isnt good because then I get grumpy. Soooo we caught the train to this super cool diner with waiters and waitresses yelling at each other and singing and dancing to 50s music. They got up on the tables and lipsynced at one point. The food was good in a heart attack waiting to happen kinda way. Rebecca gave her number to the waiter. I laughed. Caught the bus home and slept so so so so well!! The next day- Saturday- was really gross and rainy. We were going to do a walking tour but that failed because of the rain so we went shopping instead. Didn't really see anything of interest though, except for a whole lot of really artsy kinda shops that we wanted to buy everything from. I bought an umbrella because it was really really rainy! I didnt really think that purchase through though, its kinda not exactly compact which made carrying it aroung a wee bit annoying. I managed to stab both myself and Bex with it. The handle is also entirely metal which means if I use it in Florida Ill probably be struck by lightning and die. Oh well lol, it made me feel very Mary Poppins like while I was carrying it!! After we went shopping the rain stopped for a while so we did a walking tour of historic architecture. It was pretty fantastic, saw lots of buildings we wouldnt have looked at twice but that were actually amazing if you looked at them properly. One of the things I liked most about Chicago was the diversity of the buildings. Most cities all of the skyscrapers and other buildings look the same but in Chicago they were all totally different. There were all sorts of different influences chucked all in together. It was really interesting to look at. Um. After that we went to Pizzeria Uno for tea and got deep dish chicago pizza which was so so good! Yummmm. We were both feeling kinda ickyy by then because we had forgotten to drink anything all day so we tried to rehydrate all at once. Not a smart idea because we then went to Billy Elliot the Musical and as epically awesome as it was, I needed to pee the entire second half. Billy Elliot was amazing though. Absolutely amazing! Loved it. Loved it. Loved it. We got our seats for $25 which we thought was a good deal, they were limited view but you only missed one corner of the stage which nothing happened in anyways. Went home, went to bed. Sunday we started by going up the Sears tower. Except that now its the Willis tower. But all good, its the tallest building in the states. We stood on the little glass plate things and looked dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooown to the little people underneath us. It was pretty cool, but maybe not worth the $15 or whatever it was to get up there. The sky tower is fairly similar. Not as tall, but similar. After that we walked around the water front to Navy Pier which is the really really super touristy bit of the city. Ate Chicago style hotdogs for lunch then went to the circus! After that we caught a bus to try and go to the zoo but we epic failed because we got lost then it started to rain. Again. So we wandered back to the train station again, back to the hostel and ate our left over pizza for tea. THEN, and thats in capitals because this was EPIC, we went to the cheesecake factory for dessert. OH MY GOSH. It was so so so so good. I got raspberry truffle and Rebecca got tiramisu and we ate half of each and felt sick but it was so amazingly awesome tasting. Then we walked home and went to bed. Wow Im doing pretty well remembering what happened on each day huh? Monday we checked out of the hostel and left all of our stuff there while we went to Oak Park which is the suburb that Ernest Hemingway and Frank Lloyd Wright were from. It was pretty. Kinda similar to the art gallery/ Hagley kinda area of Chch. Then we got our gear and caught the train to Michigan to meet Brittany and Bonnie who had spent the last 2 days driving the distance we flew in 2 hours. Bahaha. Did all kinds of fun stuff there too but Ill leave that for another day because my fingers hurt. Bye!

14 hour days are FUN! :S

Yeah so overtime always sounds like such a good idea when you first request it. Then you see your schedule and go eargh. Then you work it and pretty much die. That was my experience yesterday, minus the dying part. Im still alive. Just so you know. I worked from 8.45 am to 11.30pm. It actually wasnt too bad, I wanted to kill people less than I did at the end of my 8 hour day a few days ago. Me and Nick had the same shift. We supported each other through our hardships and I fed him chocolate. Anyways enough about my ridiculous shift yesterday. Other than work I havent been doing a lot. Ive spent a fair bit of time at the Christian and Johns apartment recently, kinda nice to get out of Vista. Um. I really cant think of anything of interest to write in here. I walked into a door yesterday, it hit me right in the middle of the forehead and REALLY hurt. Um. Im going to Chicago next week with Rebecca. Um. Yeah its raining which is making my fingers lethargic so byebye

HI!

Well the last time I tried updating this the internet cut out and wouldnt save my awesomely massive post. Thats why there hasnt been anything on here for a wee while. And, just because Im paranoid, this post is going to be very short and to the point.

Not a lot as been happening around here recently. It was Johns birthday the other day so we went to laser tag last night. Insanely intense laser tag. With HUGE big military style guns. Dont ask me what kind they were but im pretty sure they were modelled off real ones. The first round I had a really big one, maybe a sniper rifle or something? But it was really big and heavy and I couldnt figure out how to look through the scope and pull the trigger at the same time so I used a little machine gun kinda thing for the other rounds which worked out a bit better. I didnt survive a lot longer but at least I wasnt hurting myself!! Everyone else there was really hard out into it it was funny... we just failed :). It was fun though! Today I went to Bonnies and helped her make sushi. That was pretty exciting. Then she made korean pancakes which were pancakes with cinnamon syrupy stuff in the middle. So good! :) And now Im off to get ready for work. Lameness, most of the cool people have gone which is lame. I cant wait for the new CPs to come, new people! But yeah I should offskis and get ready for work! Hope you guys are having good times- but not toooo good times or Ill get jealous.

DAYTONA BEACH!

Ok so the last week or so has been fantabulous. On... Thursday? Yeah. Thursday. We all went out to TGI Fridays after work to say good bye to the CPs who are leaving this week. So so sad, both of my favourites are leaving. Funny thing was, most of the people who are leaving didnt come. Thats ok though, the rest of us had fun. Everyones cars were full on the way there so me Rebecca and Bonnie walked from Vista. It was pretty funny times, none of the flashy man walk now thingymajigs were working so we kinda just... ran. Wasn't the best. But yeah that was a good night. Ate waaaaaaaaaaay too much. Got an entree of fried mozzarella. Yes. Deep fried cheese. Awesome ay? So I got home from that at about 1 am. I then got up at 6am to pack for Daytona. The taxi came and got us at 6.45am and drove us to the greyhound station which happened to be in this really really dodgy area of down town Orlando. We were pretty scared lol. Sat there for about an hour waiting for the bus and generally trying not to fall asleep. Once we arrived at Daytona we did all the usual finding our hotel, getting settled in kinda stuff, blobbed on the beach for a while then we decided we wanted lunch. We went to this really really cute 50s diner. Just like in the movies!! From there we taxied to a chocolate factory which did a tour and let us sample the chocolate which was EPIC as... sooo good. The next day we went to Ponce Outlet to go parasailing. I wasnt planning on going- was running a bit low on money- but the others all wanted to so I tagged along and went on the boat. Thing was, the guy was talking to me and asked why I wasnt going so I told him. He ended up letting me go for free! I was like MEAN. It was sooo much fun, we went at 1000 feet- around 300m. Could see heaps, blue sky, blue water, white sand... gorgeousness. They dipped us in the water a few times as well which was awesome seeing as I was fully clothed... haha. Dont think the others were hugely impressed that I got to go for free but oh well. Um what else did we do that day? Oh. Stacey wanted a tattoo and Jackie wanted her nose pierced so they went and did that. The others all hung around and watched but I wasnt really too keen on staying there- was kinda dingy and it was soooo nice outside- so I walked home along the beach. It took about an hour and a quarter which would have been fine except that I wasnt wearing sun screen. I now have some really epic tan/burn lines. Third day we tried to go to IHOP for breakfast but failed so we tried the diner and failed so we ended up going to a burger place. Now, I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. The lady misheard me and thought I said grilled cheese. I said that was fine and Id eat whatever. She puts a burger down, it gets passed down to me so I figure hey, this must be for me. I took a bite. Then I get told its not mine, it was Sarahs. So I passed it to Sarah and said "Sorry, I took a bite". That would be reasonably ok back home right? You wouldnt do it to a random but anyone you know, whatever, its only a bite. But apparently the rest of the world, not so much...... They gave me crap the rest of the day. Hung out on the beach for a few hours. I went swimming and wave jumping and stuff but the others were boring and stayed on the beach. Turns out I was swimming in a rip. oops. After that we taxied- again- to the Nascar Speedway. That was pretty cool, saw the race track and stuff. From there we walked to the mall. Which was shut. We still had about 4 hours until we had to be at the bus station- and really really didnt want to get there early because that bus station was just so DODGE!! So we stole a couple of trolleys and put all our stuff in them- I should probably mention we had to check out of the hotel at 11 am so we had been dragging all our stuff around all day- and wandered around various shops. Eventually we got sick of that so we pushed our trusty trolleys to Olive Garden where we spent a ridiculously long time deciding what we wanted to eat and doing everything else as slowly as possible. It was really good food. After about 2 hours we kinda sensed the poor waiter wanted us to leave so he could get new people and more tips so, very reluctantly, we gathered all our stuff that was piled around the table and loaded up the trolleys again. We still had a couple of hours so we went to Dennys- we spent a LOT of time in restaurants- parked our trolleys under a street light so we could keep an eye on them and ordered icecream sundaes. Eventually we decided to brave the bus station. So so so dodge! No other word describes it quite right. Im pretty sure everyone else on that bus was transporting drugs and/or homeless. We all had to split up too because the bus was almost full and there were only scattered empty seats. Finally we got home and, very thankful for Vista security, went home and to bed. The end.

That was a pretty long post huh? Well its not the end. I still have to tell you all about today! Haha. So today Rebecca me and one of her friends went horse riding at Fort Wilderness! Random much lol. It was pretty cool except I wanted a pretty horse and got an ugly one :). But at least it was well behaved and my helmet went unused!! After that we wanted to go swimming so we caught a guest bus to Blizzard Beach. My first time at Blizzard! I love the concept, its all set up like a ski village. So yeah just hung out in the pool and went down a couple of slides and stuff. We were only there for an hour ish though. Didnt see any snakes in the lazy river which was a good start! Um yuppyyup I think thats around about it now. You can all go back to your lame as lives and leave me to my fantastically exciting one! :)

Musings of a baked potato

Hey!

So... it is FLIPPING HOT outside! As in, its 6.30 pm and I would say its about 32 degrees out there still. It was 85 Fahrenheit last night when I got home at 10pm, I just translated it and thats about 29 degrees. And its only spring!! This is going to be really really nasty come summer. Today I caught the bus across the park instead of walking because I was stupid and forgot to bring a change of clothes and I didnt want to walk in my costume- polyester pants suits arent exactly heat regulating- and the bus didnt have air con. Ugh. Anyways thats my ranting about the heat. At least they have sprinklers going, I went and jumped around under one about 5 minutes ago. It was super fun. Ok so whats been happening over here? As per usual a lot of work, a minimal amount of sleep, a lot of eating. Church was yesterday which was good, afterwards I went out for lunch with Alex Christian and Sarah to Sweet Tomatoes. Its a salad buffet place and was so so so so so so good. They had all this really nice bread and stuff too, and baked potatoes and soup. I didnt have any soup. I was WAY too full of bread and epically awesome salad. There was dessert as well so kinda ate a bit much of that as well. The end result was that I got to work and could barely walk so I had to make people swap jobs with me everytime rotation came around so I could do the position that required the least movement lol. I was still full this morning at breakfast time! Um in other news, we are going to Daytona Beach on Friday for the weekend! It will hopefully be splendiferous. I have Wednesday off so me and Alex are planning to go to IHOP and to one of the water parks for the day then to the formal at night. Yeah, theres a Disney formal. I hadnt even thought about it until Alex asked if I was going. So I have no idea at all what Im going to wear and the only shoes I have over here are lime green jandals, some rainbow canvas sneakers and my work shoes. So uh... yeah this will be interesting! Thursday night we are all going to TGI Fridays to say goodbye to the CPs leaving work... so many people are leaving in the next two weeks. Its so sad, all my favourite people to work with are leaving. In other pointless stream of consciousness ramblings, I made sweet and sour chicken for tea and it was epically amazing. :) Yeah. I think thats about it.

A lovely little fail for you all...

Hey guys!

So not a lot of interest has been happening recently, hence the update drought. Basically just been working a lot and hanging out in my time off. But now its my weekend. Yesterday I went for a walk to the outlets- well, really I went to do my grocery shopping and got distracted by the outlets on the way. Did a wee bit off shopping, had taco bell for lunch which was certainly a momentous occasion, then finally actually went shopping. The bus didnt come when I wanted it to so I thought stuff this, I only have 3 heavy bags of groceries plus the stuff I bought at the outlets, and its only about 30 degrees. Ill walk. Ha. Ha. Ha. I am silly. Not to mention that by the time I got home all 6 of the eggs Id bought had broken. But thats not even the fail I mentioned in the title of this post. Today- My Sunday- I was bored so I thought it would be nice to walk to Mickeys Retreat, take some food and a book and blob there for the afternoon. I walked over there- its about a 30-35 minute walk- to discover the park was closed for the graduations. So that was annoying. I ended up jumping a couple of hedge lines and small pondy swampy things to hang out in the Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church garden. It wasnt really all that nice though so I only spent an hour or so reading there. Besides the bench I was sitting on was concrete and really not very comfortable. THEN I walked home and had the bright idea of going barefoot. I had also gone barefoot on the way there by the way... Problem was the ground was really really hot. Now I have blistered feet. So to sum up my day, I walked for ages, burnt my feet and crashed a garden. I think Ive turned into Kate. ;) Epic fail right there... Anyways. Yeah really nothing interesting going on!!

Howdy folks.

Hoooowdy folks! Its my Saturday and all is ticking along fabulously :). Had a most wonderful day off. First- and this was a very important part of the wonderfulness- I slept until 12. Then I toodled over to Brittanys to hang with her Rebecca and Bonnie. While we were there Rebecca and Brittany were talking about their plans for Rebecca to roadtrip to Michigan with Brittany when her programme ends in June. Somehow, it got decided that I am going to go with them. Only problem is, its the exact same time as my room mates are going to New York. SO New York has gone down the drain for the moment in favour of an epic road trip to... uh... Michigan. Rebecca is going to New York in January so Ill go with her then maybe. But yeah I told the room mates and I dont think they were too concerned, sounds like it solves a lot of the problems that they were having- 4 in a room works a lot better than 5- so hopefully I wont be disowned. Bonnie might be coming on the road trip too. It will be so much fun. Bonnie is hilarious, shes little and Korean and cute but shes been picking up on how we all talk so some of the stuff that comes out of her mouth just doesnt seem to fit. She made us noodles today that apparently "failed". In a korean accent. Well it doesnt fail in a korean accent, she says "failed" in a korean accent.... you know what I mean. She also gave me and Brittany back massages. At the same time. She used her feet on me. Then made me give her a leg massage. Which was kinda weird. Hahaha she did our hair all koreanish as well, I had this epic as top knot... I kinda looked like a cross between Mulan and some kind of trailer trash hillbilly. We have lots of fun plans for our road trip. We are going to have KFC in Kentucky. :). Um what did I do for the rest of the day.... blobbed on the couch eating junk and watching movies until I got a txt wanting to know if I wanted to go to Bible Study. I figured I may as well seeing as lying on the couch watching movies wasnt really a very constructive way to spend my evening. We were really really late, I had to go stand outside because I was having a massive coughing fit, tried to come back in, the door had locked behind me. Was standing at the door kinda pathetically because they were doing the worship so everyone had their eyes closed and I didnt really want to bang on the door. Eventually some heathen who had their eyes open came over and let me in again, just in time for me to start really needing to cough again. Of course by now theyd moved on to praying, so I really really REALLY didnt want to have a coughing fit. I was trying soooo hard not to cough that by the end I had tears streaming down my face and everyone was all like "are you ok"?!? They probably all thought I was having some sort of Holy Spirit moment or something... No... just dying... lol. So yeah that was fun... And now Im home again, updating all of you special people on the oh so interesting moments in my life. Oh! As far as "Famous People sightings" go, I had a few famous people in my gates the last few weeks that I forgot to tell you all about. Problem was I didnt know who they were... apparently everyone else does though. Um. Joey from NSync, Hooty from Hooty and the Blowfish? I think that was what it was... Dont laugh if I got that wrong... Dog the Bounty Hunter? Um yeah. Plus a couple of random Disney Channel people. And Barak Obama rode but I didnt see him. :) Im holding out for someone really really super cool to be in my gate.... I think Taylor Swift has been the most exciting one so far. One of the guys is adamant that she winked at him in the utility closet.
Anyways I think thats about all the interestingness for the moment. Going to make the most of doing nothing as I can today and tomorrow because this next week is going to be very busy!!
Bye!! Email me, this blogging thing is really one sided!

UNIVERSAL

Good afternoon my minions.

How is everything thing in Kiwiland treating you all? Good? Fantastic. Argh I cant think what I said last time..... But ill assume it was before the sleep over and Universal trip so Ill start there. Got home from work the other night to find the lounge had been totally transformed... all our mattresses were in here, our teddy bears, everything. It was awesome. Not to mention all the junk food that Stacey had won at grocery bingo. They were playing some random game which I had missed most of but all good. Anyways the sleepover was fun, except that everyone fell asleep really really quickly. Then we woke up early the next morning, sleepwalked our way through getting dressed and such before we piled into the taxi and drove to UNIVERSAL. It was so much fun, awesomely epic to get out of the Disney bubble. And the rides are fantastic. Yay for good roller coasters. Dueling Dragons was my favourite I think, its 2 rollercoasters in one that kinda twist around each other and race each other and stuff. Its mean. You have to ride twice though. Good thing theres no line. There was another one called Rock it which was pretty cool too, you get to choose your own soundtrack for the ride which blasts in your ears. I didnt think it was quite fast enough though... was still fun! Only problem with the day was that now my room mates are annoyed with me... Kinda ditched them. I really wanted to go on a few rollercoasters and things that they werent so keen on so I just went and did them by myself. But now they arent really talking to me. Oh well, it'll sort itself out. Oh! There was a Special Effects Makeup show on too! I went to see it with Alex, she came as well but met us there and left early... Ditched the room mates to hang out with her too. Ooops. So funny just how Un Disney the place is, its almost like theyve sat down and been like, well disney does this this and this. Lets do the opposite. One of the guys in the show absolutely soaked a little kid with a water pistol and was like "This isnt the magic kingdom. I dont have to be nice to kids". It was great. After that I went to Christian and Johns for tea which was really good, Christians old room mate made pasta. There were quite a few people there, we all just hung out and talked and played a random game. I educated a few of them on the wonders of Hamish and Andy once everyone else had left. Oh gosh, I stopped a family at merge the other day and it turned out they were Kiwis. So was talking to them........ apparently Im getting an accent. NOT GOOD!!!
Anyways I should really go do something productive before Extra Tragic Hours... Bye!

Today is.... Uhhh.... Monday?

I swear, time here has no meaning. We never have any idea of what day it is. Makes it a bit tricky to remember to go to church and such!! Anyways. What has been happening in the house of mouse? I got really really super bored the other day and made a kiwi out of blue tack. It took two packets of the stuff... good thing Danny and Cammy were so unoriginal with my Christmas present!!! For anyone who doesnt know, my brother and cousin both gave me a packet of blutac for Christmas. Im pretty sure they went to the Warehouse and grabbed two of anything they could find. SO yeah it finally came in useful. The beautiful, bright blue kiwi now stands guard over the Soarin break room from on top of the tv. His name is Kapai. The only problem is that, being made of bluetac, Kapai is kinda flexible and easy to alter. Currently he is masquerading as an elephant. Stupid Nick. He has cardboard ears and tail. The elephant. Not Nick. Um what else. We are going to Universal on Wednesday!!! Its going to be super epic! We are having a sleepover on Tuesday night before hand so we are inviting a few people over, putting our mattresses on the floor, watching movies and eating junk food until ridiculously late. Then we are going to drink energy drinks and be hyper all around Universal. Going to be such a good weekend! We are all very excited. Ummm yeah so thats pretty much it I think! Ohh! One last thing, yesterday at work I snuck up behind the guy at merge and zapped him in the sides as I walked past on my way to break. Apparently he got a call from the coordinator asking if he wanted to file for harassment!!!! Lol I thought that was hilarious! Well, I did once I didnt get called to see the manager! lol. I had it all worked out though, I was going to say it was part of my culture. Lol dont know if it would have worked but it would have been worth a try!!
Hope you guys are good!

Sorry, its been a while...

So! First order of business..... CREEPY MCSTALKER GOT TERMED! For non-disney affiliated people, termed is short for terminated. Fired. Sent home to stalk someone else. In the world of emoticons I am colon capital D. :D. Jared, his room mate, had been away for a couple of weeks so I didnt hear about it until about a week after it happened. So happy. I can go see Goofy and not be like... aaaaaaaaaaaaargh. Other happenings in my life... Im trying to remember how long ago I updated and what I said... Sorry if I say stuff Ive already said! I went to church on Easter which was kinda cool, Rebecca came with so that was awesome. Honestly though, easter without Easter Camp is so weird. Its just not right without pigging out on pies for lunch or moshing to satellite. Wow its been a week since I updated!! I just figured out I could open another window you see... Yeah so on Easter we had an easter egg hunt :) That was funny, Jackie gets soooo over excited about such things. Had really really long days at work the last couple of days- an 11 hour then a 13 hour day. Glad its the weekend. Yesterday was my Saturday so I spent the morning mucking around then went to Hollywood Studios with Jared. Saw the Indiana Jones show which was pretty epically awesome, lots of fire and fun stuff. Oh! And we went to the American Idol Experience lol. Its like American Idol, they audition people every morning and have shows all day and the final at night. We went to one of the shows. It was pretty cheesy but kinda cool. Then me and Michelle and Stacey went to Cicis for tea. I bullied them into coming because I wanted pizza. It was the second night in a row theyd eaten there lol. Ate way way way too much to the point where I thought I might be sick- it was just sooo soooo sooooo good.... the problem was on the way home there were sprinklers right across the foot path. You know the ones that kinda turn around slowly? We were trying to run at the right times to miss them but ended up getting soaking wet. So we were running- getting stitch- Laughing so hard that our stomachs hurt, and feeling like we were going to throw up all at the same time. So so so so painful! Then we were very very hyper and Jackie came home all depressed from working at the green box of doom and wanted pringles so we went on a pringles mission and bought liquorice and 2 tubes of pringles because we couldnt decide which flavour and all kinds of other crap. I think we scared the people there a wee bit. We booked our accomodation for Daytona! And our transport. And soon we are going to book flights and accom for NEW YORK!!!!! YAY! And then me and Rebecca are thinking about going to Canada. And there is maybe a mission to Memphis in there too... :)
Soooooooo I think Im going to request more overtime lol.
Hope everything is going awesomely!
Miss you all, but not enough to want to come home!!

So. Its Easter. This is wrong.

This is so strange. Its Good Friday and Im not in a tent, Im not wearing 3 layers of polyprop and Im not moshing to satellite. Im not eating pizza for lunch. Im not at Easter Camp. Its such a weird feeling.... kinda getting a bit homesick now. I want homeness. :( I WANT A NZ HUG. Today I went to Walmart with Christian Patrick and Patricks English girlfriend who I cant remember her name... I needed to buy easter eggs for the flat mates. So that will be fun. Mission successful. Then we went to Chick-fil-a for lunch which was pretty good. Came home. Went to work. Came home. Sitting here hoping James gets his butt online sometime soon! Plenty more to update on but in a pretty crap mood so maybe another day!
Love you all

I love Days off

Well, its not really a day off. Today and yesterday is my weekend but I picked up shifts because Im a special child. I worked 12.30-9.15 yesterday which was awesome because I was with Perry all night and hes my favourite. Annnnd also because everyone else was working 10am-12.45pm so I got to laugh at them :). It was a good day. I was literally in gates alllllll day. Tonight Im working a 5 hour shift at Magic Kingdom on a parade so that should be interesting... Jackie was meant to do one last night and tell me how it went but she chickened out. Wuss. So now I have to be the first one to figure everything out!! SCARY! MK has the tunnels! I dont know how to use those! And I dont know what costume I need... and I need to go to Walmart today. This is going to be epic. Um what else is happening... Its pretty much impossible to catch people online now, so annoying! Jackie made macaroni and cheese pizza. Ew. I made jelly. Me and Rebecca are going to make a Papier Mache Kiwi on wheels and tow it around on a leash as our mascot. It will be awesome. Christian was bored the other day so I told him to make a spaceship. He did. :P Oh! I went to church on Sunday and they pretty much had a broadway production as the worship haha. It was awesomely epically funny. Imagine a livewires drama then times it by 37 million and add shiny things and lights. It was basically the Easter story. Judas sang a song. It was incredibly well written, the church had written it themselves which was pretty awesome. I guess Im just not used to churches having talent lol. :P Dont tell certain people I said that lol. Other epicness in the life of Kristy... We went to Earl of Sandwich the other day after work. It was AMAZING. Everyone raves about it and I could never understand how a sandwich could be good enough to warrant all the hype. Trust me. It deserves it. So going there again. Jackie just gave me a packet of animal crackers :) Yay. Michelle whacked me over the head repeatedly with a roll of gladwrap last night when I was trying to go to bed. Jackie has an obsession with wrapping a scarf around her head and telling us shes pretending shes in a convertible. Caryl left her timtams on the table so weve kinda decided they are fair game. Sarah has been strangely absent recently, havent seen her in a while. Stacey has been moved from mission space to blizzard beach and now gets the wear the funniest costume ever created. Actually thats a lie. The animal kingdom ones are funnier. But yeah thats about it!! Have an awesome Easter guys... and the holiday that goes with it. Gutted I cant come to EC with you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This will be soooooo strange... Easter and not freezing to death in a tent! No Sunday Pieday??? No Friday Pizza day? No Saturday icky filled rolls day? No Monday American hot dogs day??????? NO PIES ON EASTER!!!??? I think ill cry. Lol. Have fun guys.

Extra Tragic hours.....again

Ello Poppet!
I almost wrote "Poopet" instead but I noticed and changed it. Probably a good thing huh? Anyways! So what have I been up to recently? For some super smart reason I decided it would be a good idea to pick up an opening shift for yesterday morning. SO I did the whole 6 hours of sleep thing, dragged myself to work where I was a zombie all morning and finished at 12.30. Bussed home and stuffed around until 5 when, hey guess what, I got on the bus to go back to work for my original shift. Which didnt finish until 12.45am. Maybe not the smartest idea. I was absolutely fine and in a super good mood until about 10, then I just crashed. I was doing my staring into space thing all the time lol. But then I went on gates and managed to wake up a bit more. Especially when the nights epic moment happened. Me Rebecca Nitin and Brandon were on A side. Brandon has a bit of an obsession with jumping out at people so he was waiting, crouched on the floor, for Rebecca to come through the door. Door opens, he goes RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHR!!!! Its the maintenance guy. Fail. We were all laughing so hard we had to kinda go hide in the utility closet for a bit to compose ourselves. That kept us entertained for the rest of the night... Oh! The same guy- wow he was on good form last night lol- was doing a magical moment so brought a family around the back and put them in the front row. I went up and started talking to them and they were kinda looking at me funny. Then one of them says "You speak english?" I was like ummm yeah? Apparently Brandon had told her that I was from NZ so I couldn't speak english at all. She believed him. Rolls eyes.
The other night I was half asleep and Michelle came in so I made her tuck me in. That was all good until I realised that I couldnt move and that she had a white board marker in her hand. Which was soon all over my face.
We booked bus tickets to Daytona!! Yay! Holiday! We are booking flights to New York next week! Super yay!!! I want to go to Jamaica Ive decided.
And that, my friends, is pretty much the life of Kristy! Come back for more ridiculously epic episodes!
Bye! Love you all!

Went to the moooooovies

Yesterday was just your average day really, b-e-a-utifully sunny so I spent the morning blobbing under a tree by the lake, I think thats probably going to become my hang out spot. Its really nice down there and is about the only place I can get to that isnt motorways and crowds of people. Worked in the evening then got talked into going to see Remember Me. It has Robert Pattinson in it- you know, the gross guy off Twilight who everyone seems to be obsessed with? He kinda reminds me of Gollum but anyways....I only went because I heard how it ends. But I actually really enjoyed it!!! It was a really good movie. Even though it was another "make you bawl your eyes out" kinda deal, stupid Tara and her movie picking skills... or lack there of. We got pretzels before we went. They were goooooood. They are only a dollar for cast members which is awesome :). Today is an apartment inspection again, everyone else cleaned up last night so I had to clean the bathroom and redo the sweeping and mopping this morning. Which meant I had to get up at 8. Which, seeing as I got home at 1 last night, wasnt so much fun. All good though, Ill go to bed early tonight because dun dun dunnnnnn.... ITS MY SATURDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN GO TO WALMART!!!!!!!!! I can get food again!!! Haha Jackie had to give me food yesterday for my lunch because I ran out of "take to work" kinda food. It was awesome, my tea was chips, cookies, a cinnamon roll and an apple. Argh Im really sleepy. I might go take a nap until the bus comes!! Night night!

Mum, Dad, It SO hasnt been a week!

Mum and Dad, I updated on the 20th. That was... 3? Days ago. Not a week like you tried to tell me! Get with the programme :). I havent updated in the last couple of days because really, I have no news. Seriously, none. Me Brittany Claudia and Bonnie went out for mexican the other night after work- spicy food at 11.30 at night. Yay us lol. It was soooo good. Also absolutely hilarious, Bonnie is Korean and speaks quite limited English which we all give her crap for. Thing is though, shes picked up on certain bits of the English language that she maybe shouldnt know. You havent been sworn at until youve been sworn at by a small korean who has no idea what shes saying!! We spent the night trying to explain why she shouldnt say any of this stuff at work, especially not around guests! It was Rebeccas birthday yesterday so they went out for tea at TRex. Thats a restaurant at Downtown Disney. Thing was Rebecca and quite a few of the others had the day off so they made the booking for 8.45 which meant I missed it because I was at work :(. So that was sad. I really really really need to go to the supermarket. I have pasta and rice and half a thing of pasta sauce, 3 cookies and a poptart left. I have run out of absolutely everything else! Chicken, mince, eggs, waffles, fruit, cheese..... honestly, EVERYTHING!! But I cant go until tomorrow. Yay for days off. :) ITS MY FRIDAY. Anyways, there we go, another pointless load of trivial nothingness.
Hope New Zealand hasnt disappeared off the face of the earth!!
Miss you all
Kristy the incredible

Yet more hours of extra magicalness

Extra Magic Hours... gotta love em. Have to say though last night was the most fun Ive had at work in ages. I was closing gates with Marcus and Kyle... it was all had to be there stuff but was absolutely hilarious. Kyle informed us all that he hasn't changed his costume since our first day of training. As in, 2 months ago. He hasn't washed it or anything. And he couldn't understand how I found that disgusting! Everyone else changes their shirt everyday and their pants and blazer a couple of times a week. That is SO GROSS! Jrhea smacked me in the face with the door to the intercom and phone cupboard. Every time I was looking at Marcus he epic failed in one way or another. Nitin was at Merge so Kyle was calling him saying all sorts of random stuff, Nitin was talking back in Arabic. Got a ride home after work with Kyle who reluctantly let Nitin come too because he begged. Then Nitin spent the whole way home trying to talk Kyle into stopping at Taco Bell. That was work. Oh and I managed to get my second break right when Illuminations was on so I saw lots of fireworks :). It was a gorgeously sunny day so I went and read a book in the sun by the lake, keeping one eye out for Creepy McStalker. Good thing my eyes are messed up, I can literally keep one eye out for him! Lol. Joking. Yeah that was pretty much my day I think. Im still planning on making Oreo Balls one of these days. Actually I dont think I wrote about that on here yet... the other night when I was at Bible study Christian made Oreo balls. And they are amazing. And he told me how to make them. So as soon as I get some oreos and cream cheese and chocolate Im making some. I went to Rebeccas the other day too, the plan was to go to the outlets but it was raining so we ended up just hanging out, then we got hungry so decided to be american and make grilled cheese. Which is pretty much a toasted sandwich made in a frying pan because they dont know what toastie makers are. Honestly, most awkward way to make a toasted sandwich EVER!!! You have to get the heat just right or either the cheese doesn't melt or the bread burns. Then you have to flip the stupid thing!! We ended up microwaving them first so the cheese melted, then frying them to make them toasted. It worked ok, but really, this is America. Everything else is done the easiest way possible! Why not sandwiches??

Kristy has a day off.

Woohoo I love days off. They are pretty much the highlight of my life. So anyways I went to Bible Study on Tuesday night which was great, it was one I hadnt made it to yet because I usually work Tuesdays. It was at John and Christians apartment which is right across the road from Chatham and Patterson and Commons- all of the housing complexes except Vista. We are our own special little loner complex. Anyways that made it pretty easy to get to, I did end up walking because Im a rebel, but I didnt get mugged. I thought that would be taking rebelling a little bit too far. The bible study itself was really good, we read right through the book of Esther then discussed it and stuff. Just a small group of people, maybe 8 or 9? I went into usual Kristy at Bible Study mode and kept my mouth shut, but there was some really interesting discussion. Then the study itself ended and we ate oreo balls which were flipping amazing... Im going to make some next time I go to the supermarket. Discussion then turned to church politics of which I knew nothing and I had been awake since 6.30 am with 5 hours sleep so I was trying very very hard not to fall asleep. Christian drove me home. Yesterday was my day off for the week seeing as I picked up a shift for today. I realised that I hadnt been to the outlets yet so I walked over there and had a bit of a look around. I was amazed. I thought they were going to be really lame but honestly, Id be just as happy shopping there as at the mall and its way closer and easier to get to. I bought a dress. I walked to Commons from there and caught the bus because it was looking like it was about to bucket and happened to see Taylor and Tabitha who reminded me that I had agreed to go out with them to some club thing that night. Ugh. Really not a fan of clubbing... me and dancing arent friends. But anyways I kinda resigned myself to the fact that I was going, found out that the bus was leaving at 11pm and I went home. Problem is, I fell asleep reading at about 9.30 ish and didnt wake up until Paul skyped me at about 10.15. I ended up bailing, I wouldnt have had time to get changed and get over to Chatham to catch the bus. And besides, I wanted to talk to Paul!! So yeah, Im going to get yelled at at work today :).
Oh and theres a weird full time guy at work who apparently likes me. UGH.
The end.

Tuesday, March 16, 2010

Ahhhhh boo!

Hey!

Well that was a fun couple of shifts. Last night I was closing so I worked 3.45 to 9.45. I went in early because... guess what?? EPCOT GOT A MANATEE!!!! I really wanted to sing the duggong song but I didnt really think anyone over here would appreciate it... and I didnt bring my duggong shirt with me sadly. Duggong, duggong, its the cow of the sea ea ea, duggong, duggong, also known as the manatee! It doesnt have wings. That would be silly. Doesn't live in a tree, that would also be sill. Compared to the dolphin -its very close cousin- it's quite uglyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.... ok theres my musical moment for the evening. Thankyou. Thankyou very much. :) So yeah I went to see the manatee which was pretty much the highlight of my life. It was eating lettuce. Then I had to go to work which was weird, I was in tower pretty much all night. I tried to swap with Rachel near the end of the night so that me and Perry could be gate buddies but she said no. :(. Perry then gave me and Brittany a ride home. We three are the super cool walking group. We walk super speedy through the park to catch the bus- or get to Perrys car as the case may be. He only gives me and Brittany rides home though because we are his favourites. Hes our favourite too though so its all fair. I got home to discover that Stacey was on the bus that I would have been on and it had broken down. It ran out of petrol. What kind of bus driver lets the bus run out of petrol?!?!? So Perry is officially my hero. Then I tried to sleep and it didnt work. I ended up getting 5 hours sleep before my alarm went off at 6.30 am. Stupid work schedule people decided to schedule me an opening right after a close. Oh well, it might fix my sleep patterns a wee bit. So yeah worked again this morning, it went really really fast for some reason. Marcus gave me a ride home, bless his little cotton socks, I came inside all motivated to get organised to go shopping for Kate and Samantha and Dads birthday presents...... and somehow ended up on facebook on the couch eating a burger. Hmmm. America is rubbing off on me I think! But it was all good because I caught Kate online which made my day super sparkly. Im not sure if I mentioned this already, ignore me if I did, but the time difference has changed for anyone trying to catch me online, you guys are now 7 hours behind, tomorrow, instead of 6. So its annoying. And soon it will be 8 instead of 7. Gah. In other news, apparently one of the weird guys at work was asking one of the full timers if she thought Id go out with him. ARGH! ARGH! and triple ARGH! And............ I had another great spark of inspiration then but now its gone. Oh well. Id better go get myself vaguely organised for Bible Study... I have been told I have to try not to get mugged so I guess that means I shouldnt walk :) Aren't I good. Haha I was talking to that darling brother of mine on facebook chat the other day and the first thing he says to me is "Whos this using Kristys computer? Have you found out who murdered her yet?" Just lovely he is!!
Anyways Id better stop boring you with my ramblings!
Go stop procrastinating! Do your work!

Hellllloooooo!

Hi guys!

I'm not sick any more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its so good! I love being not sick! It took a ridiculously long time- seriously its been... 3 days? of feeling gross. But now Im better! It was ok really, I had Wednesday off work anyways, then I was stubborn and went on Thursday. That was such a stupid idea, I was totally useless the entire time. Nick had to swap jobs with me because I couldn't handle counting to 11. I spent most of the time leaning against the wall or waiting until the important people werent looking so that I could lean against the wall again. So in order to avoid that again, I called in sick for yesterday and slept instead. Good idea Kristy. Now Im all better. And slightly hyper as you can probably tell from how Im writing. Im going to make jelly soon. I bought jelly. Cool ay! Um what else. Other than lying on the couch feeling grotty, not a lots been happening. I stole 500 days of Summer off Alex who had stolen it off Christian. I watched it last night. I really liked it! Yesterday was Michelles birthday so that was cool. We got her a charm bracelet because shes been going on and on about wanting one. And she got an iPod touch from her Mum. She got a ski jacket in the mail a while ago too for her birthday which we all thought was pretty funny.... pretty sure we're in Florida. Oh yeah I think Im going to Planet Hollywood for tea tonight for one of the girls from works birthday. Not toooo sure whats going on or how Im getting there but Im sure it'll work out somehow!!
I should probably go do something productive with my day... wish I wasn't working, then I could have gone to the Strawberry fair with the people from church. :( Oh well. Ill just sit here and enjoy not feeling the need to throw up :)
Hope you guys are fantastic

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

-Ummmm. Yeah that was about it only with all sorts of fun details thrown in. But Im so not typing it all out again!!!! So bye!

HAHAHAHA Night of Epicness

Ok so me and Rebecca decided to mission it to Downtown Disney for the evening. We were kinda thinking about seeing Alice in Wonderland but then we decided we couldnt be bothered, so thats the plan for tomorrow night. So we had heard a rumour that the pretzel place at Downtown did $1 pretzels for cast members on Mondays. Thought wed check that out, so we got a cinnamon one and an almond one and split them. Absolute AMAZINGNESS. You guys really dont need to hear about the rest of my last couple of days, those pretzels out did all of it. Abslutely amazing. Ate those, decided to wander a wee bit so we walked down the footpath and found a group of slightly tipsy people doing the "Pizza Hut, Pizza Hut, Kentucky Fried Chicken and a Pizza Hut" dance in the middle of the street to a DJ. We thought that was pretty funny so hung out there laughing at them for a while, until the DJ said "Ok guys lets salute fast food!" And they all walked around saluting for the next 16 bars. Only in America. That was the second awesome highlight of my night. Then the absolute highlight. We decided we wanted hot chocolate so we went to Ghiradellis- I thinks thats how you spell it... its a chocolate boutique kinda thing. Really awesome. I ordered, got my drink in a cup with this huge dollop of whipped cream on top. I, being me, didnt think to get a lid. So we went outside, I got cream alllll over my nose, started spilling hot chocolate all over the ground and all over my hands and basically just everywhere. We turned around to go back inside and get a lid- and some serviettes...- and sitting at a table just inside was the little group of people from work who have decided that they are the awesomely cool people who noone else can talk to. So we are both in spasms of laughter, Im dripping with hot chocolate and they are just giving us these stares of "Oh my gosh, could you guys be any less cool???". It was sooo funny. We spent the rest of the night waiting for the bus and things sporadically bursting into giggles at the memory of the looks on their faces... no offers of rides home for us!! Haha only me ay guys... I was doing soooo well not having any moments like that. Oh well, if youre going to fail you may as well make it epic!
Love you guys!
Still slightly hyper,

Fun times

Yesterday was hilarious. Went on an epic walmart mission in the morning, spent wayyy too much money because I needed a new phone and new work shoes. Once I got home I checked my email and stuff and happened to catch one of my work friends, Nitin, online. He was asking what time I started and it turned out we had the same shift so we organised to meet on the bus. He was going to be catching the 2.54 bus and I thought I was going to catch the 3.04 bus. We both decided to get the 3.04 bus. Logged off, got changed, double checked the bus schedule. Ummmm oops... there was no 3.04 bus. So I caught the 2.54 bus, he missed it, had to catch a later bus and got to work just on time lol. I was sitting at work going "Oh no... hes going to be late... its my fault...." and one of the guys was like thats awesome! High Five! Then one of them told me he hoped I got hot tomato soup spilled on me that day. I thought that was just lovely. I had to close merge!! Again! So I sat on the floor and made card houses with the rider switch passes. Patrick gave me Nitin and Rebecca a ride home, we were all hungry so we ended up going to Wendys for burgers- though apparently if its chicken its a sandwich not a burger. SO wrong. Bonnie the Korean met us just before we went to Wendys and came with. I showed her a NZ $1 coin and she asked if it was a kangaroo on the front. Hahahahaha. Me and Rebecca are going to have a hangi on the Vista Way lawn. :) Security wont care if we dig a hole.... its all good.... we are going to cook a squirrel. Then we came home, went to Nitins apartment and watched Anchorman by which time it was 1.30am so time to come back to the awesomeness of 2004 and go to sleep.

A zipadeedoodah day!

Well!!! This morning we all woke up and thought wed follow up on these rumours that Johnny Depp was going to be at Magic Kingdom. Sooo after much deliberation and mucking around we bussed/ferried to Magic Kingdom. Wandered over to Splash Mountain to get fast passes- Splash has been closed but it reopened a week or so ago. While we waited for these fast passes of amazingness to come through we got photos with Woody and Jessie from Toy Story which was exciting... though I later found out that Creepy McStalker was being friends with Woody today. But apparently at Hollywood so hopefully it wasnt him. Anyways by the time we got to splash we were still too early. The standby queue was only 10 minutes anyway so we waited in that, rode, then used our fastpasses. Splash Mountain twice in a row. GO US! And we got an epic photo the second time.... we disney pointed lol. So yeah, Splash, then to the TEACUPS! Which were sadly lacking in Johnny Depp-ness. But still very spinny and fun so that was cool too. By this stage it was 1.30 ish and I had to start heading to work so I ditched while they went for lunch and got funnel cake and did all sorts of exciting things. I got lunch too but it was actually kinda average- I got it at Epcot and it was sweet and sour chicken and just kinda funny tasting and it made my tummy feel all churny and gross for the next hour or so. Did a bit of work not feeling too good cos of my lunch, got a break, felt better, did something else, I cant remember what..... had a 45 minute break, got free pizza which the maintenance guys had had and not been able to finish- as in had a good few pizzas left over. HUGE pizzas.- went back to work and ended up in tower. Which would have been fine. Except that someone dropped a $1 note in the pit. And decided it was of utmost importance to get that dollar back. NOW. Soooo after much ringing the coordinator and them not being there so radioing the coordinator and not hearing them and ringing them again, Marcus RACd out and went into the pit. My first RAC out in tower. Woohoo. And then we tried to dispatch the flight. It didnt work. It made lots of beeping and "Im Dying" kinda noises and didnt move. Soooo I had to call coordinator and maintenance and answer the intercom and speil to the guests and push the breakdown speil button and...and... and.... remember to breathe... Oh gosh it wasnt that much fun because I had NO idea what I was doing...everyone else knew this too, it was no secret. :S Eventually we were all up and running again but only after a lot of "What was that? You want me to what? I DONT KNOW WHAT IM MEANT TO BE DOING!!!!!". So yeah. Experience and a half. And that, my dear friends, was the highlights of my life recently. Sad huh? Oh and the microwave broke so we made them buy us a new one. :)
The ohhhh so exciting person who knows you really do care about this trivial nonsense,
Kristy :)

I LOVE days off....

Hey guys!

Ok so yesterday was interesting. I stuffed around most of the morning waiting for Michelle and Sarah to wake up because Michelle wanted to mission it to Florida Mall. During this stuffing around time we turned Jackies bed into a tent when she wasnt looking. She wasnt entirely happy with us... It was 2.20pm before we finally got around to catching the Downtown Disney bus, got there then had to find the bus stop and wait for the bus. Public bus mission, woohoo. Anyways so at about 3.30 we were on the bus to the mall. The bus stopped a 15 minute walk from Vista. We were annoyed lol. Anyways eventually made it to the mall and spent a good few hours looking in the shops and trying not to spend money. :) While there I got a txt from John and Christian saying Hey are you coming to Bible Study. Ooooh oops. I wouldnt have been able to get back to Vista in time because it was about a 45 minute bus ride. My bad! So came home and ended up going to the movies with a couple of girls from work. It was the latest Nicholas Sparks one. I dont usually cry in movies but I had tears dripping off my chin, it was really bad!!! I think Im turning into Kelly!!! Ummm what else. Oh! Theres a rumour that Johnny Depp is going to be at MK on Friday! So we are going on a Johnny Depp mission. Today I have work but not until 2.45 so we are all having a "muck around in our pyjamas until we actually have to do something" day. Those days happen a LOT around here. So yeah. Thats been my fantabulous day off :)

Hahahaha

Oh!
Just remembered, Ive been meaning to tell you guys about this for aaaaaages! Theres a Christian Theme Park kinda thing on the way into Orlando called the Holy Land Experience... You can get your photo taken with Jesus. Hahahahahhahahahahahahaha how many levels of wrong is that?!?!

My flat mates are sooooo strange.... Oh yeah, and I SAW WICKED!

If you didnt get this from the title, I SAW WICKED!!! It was soooo awesomely amazing. Didnt cry but came pretty close which, for me, is like Kates head exploding from crying too much. Haha. Sorry Kate. John and Christian- the guys who drive me to church- drove me there, along with Johns girlfriend and Jenny the Canadian. It was fun-tastic. It was a little car and it was full so I was very happy I wasnt sitting in the middle. CHRISTIAN HAS NEVER PLAYED CORNERS BEFORE!!! Lol how deprived can you get?!?! Not even the "see a corner and hurt the person in the middle" kind. Anyways, drove about an hour ish to Tampa and wandered around trying to find somewhere that was still open for tea. Turned out to be easier said than done but we ended up having Mexican. Which, we realised about halfway through, might not be so smart seeing as we had to sit quietly in a theatre for the next couple of hours. Dunno about the others, but I didnt have any problems. Then again, I didnt eat any beans. The theatre was HUGE and so so cool! Absolutely amazing. Im still not fully awake- Im in my pyjamas on the couch lol- so I cant be bothered being even slightly poetic or descriptive... amazing will have to do. Same with the show. Amazing. Just amazing, so worth the money even if I should really be saving for New York. If it ever somehow ends up in NZ everyone has to go see it. Even if its in Auckland. Fly up there, wear a suit of armour or something to protect yourselves from dorklanders and go see it. In fact, you should all just wear suits of armour all the time. Take photos. I want to see! :) Ok yeah im not awake lol. Sooo we drove home, a few adventures at Starbucks involving Christian being clumsy and spilling things. I walked in the door to the apartment to find Sarah Jackie and Michelle on the couch laughing hysterically over something that I still dont really know what it was. Apparently it was something about profiteroles......... I dont understand but there are some very strange facebook comments about them! Oh and the other exciting thing about yesterday was... dun dun dun dun... I got a package in the mail from home! Yay! It had pineapple lumps in it. :P and chocolate and a power plug. And Matty had painted me some pictures so those are in their too. Theres one of a kiwi which is stuck to the fridge now, one of Mr Bump with an arrow saying "this is you", one of the sun and one of a cave lol. They are pretty cool!!!
Hope you guys are having a great time!

Hey guys!

Guess what I did today? Can you guess? Can ya? Can ya? Nope youre wrong. I made chocolate chip cookies. :) I got up early- 9.40 haha- and went to Rebeccas at 10. Rebecca is the other kiwi at work. We stick together because we are super cool. We had to go on a bit of a Walgreens mission because we wanted to make brownie and didnt have cocoa. Problem was they didnt sell cocoa. Last night on the bus we were talking to Brittany, one of the other girls, about our proposed baking mish and mentioned that we had to buy cocoa. She was like..."cocoa... I think my mum uses that sometimes..." As in she didnt even really know what it was. Noone here bakes at all by the sounds of things. So yeah. We went to Walgreens but they didnt have any cocoa so we resorted to making cookies. Which we didnt have any of the right stuff either. But we improvised a bit and eventually had some semblance of cookie dough-which tasted amazing btw, you so wreck the stuff by cooking it!!! Oh! We had to put in chocolate right, so we had a block of chocolate, broke it into squares and put those in. Mixed it all in and then realised hang on we should probably chop that chocolate up smaller. Sooo we had to pick out all the chocolate, cut it into smaller pieces and put it back in. It was awesome lol. Epic baking missions... Hey Kate, we didnt melt the butter!!! :P Yeah so we chucked them in the oven and over cooked them and they were kinda average. But hey it was exciting! Its so weird here, everyone acts sooo much younger than they actually are. I dont know why or what it is but somehow they just havent grown up yet lol. Well not everyone. But the vast majority. You know how in movies theres all the cliques and the cheerleaders and stuff? Its actually like that over here. I mean you get it a wee bit in New Zealand but it is soo much worse here! It was all good at work until the last couple of days but its started up now, a couple of girls deciding that they are too cool to talk to anyone else and you really just get the impression that they would stab you in the back if they got half a chance. Im reasonably safe, as is Rebecca because they love our accents so much, but we are going to have to be really careful about who we get close to. Im just hoping I manage to not get dragged into all the catty stuff, I really cant be bothered with that crap!!! Anyways enough ranting! Im still loving it here lol. Hope you guys are all fantastic!

WEEKEND!!!!

Wooooohooooo so its my Sunday today. Even though its Thursday. But thats beside the point. I spent yesterday mucking around and really not doing very much, as well as trying to find someone to take my shift on Sunday so that I can go to Wicked in Tampa. :P I found someone, now Im just hoping it all gets approved and stuff. Third time lucky haha. Had a bit of a wrestling match with Michelle last night... you see, Sarah has this toy penguin which is the perfect shape and size to hug and its pretty much just amazing. I wanted it. Michelle had it. Chaos happened lol. We are both a wee bit bruised now. Oh and we made an epic meal last night, pork chops and steamed veggies and pasta. It was sooo good and you have no idea how good it was to eat veggies again lol. Its been sooo long! In fact, its been ages since I ate a proper meal for tea, Im always at work so I just have a muesli bar and an apple or something lol. This morning I went for a wander to commons to see how far it is, it took about 25 minutes so I think I was right in my guess that it was about 3 kms. And I visited Mickeys Retreat which is kinda like the domain, it has a lake and paddle boats and trees and a beach volleyball court and BBQs and a couple of pools. I ended up sitting by the lake for quite a while in the sun which was nice, was getting kinda "I need time by myself or Ill pop" ish. Then I turned around and wandered home again. And that is my weekend so far!! :) Tonight there is karaoke and free coffee at the Pavilion so we are all going to go to that, should be fun! Oh and weve been working out this New York thing. Its going to be expensive but should be sooo much fun!! And we are semi planning another trip to Memphis. Michelle works with a girl from there so we are going to go crash at her house lol. Then Miami at some stage... and I want to go to Kansas so I can make lame Wizard of Oz jokes. So many things to do, so little time!!! Anyways Id better go! Email me if you want less generic info on the goings on here!!!

ARGH!

Ok not a lot to report so this is a short one but it turns out..... dun dun dun...I WOsRK WITH CREEPY MCSTALKERS ROOM MATE! Lol. I found this out today and was laughing hysterically the whole time I was loading my gate and doing the safety checks and stuff lol. Oh my gosh I cant believe that... The best bit is, Id already told this guy the stalker story and how creepy it was and stuff but I didnt mention a name or anything so we didnt work out that he is the room mate lol. Apparently stalker is maybe getting termed for fighting though so maybe Ill be able to hang out by the lake again... :P

Michelle has a gross foot

Hey guys.

Michelle is resting her foot on my shoulder and its really gross because her heel is all cracked and yucky. Last night Jackie had to gladwrap her foot for her... apparently it helps or something. Much hilarity. Then Jackie was trying to take photos and Sarah really really didnt want photos so was hiding in the wardrobe so I pulled her out... It was funny. Annnnyways. Umm yeah so I had work again yesterday, felt sooo gross cos I had a cold or hay fever or something. But then I got my break and went and doped myself up on painkillers. Was overly happy and just a wee bit dopey for the rest of the night. Those things are meant to be non drowsy but I dont know how true that is... I was really pretty out of it lol. Kinda glad I wasn't in tower, I would have had a hard time focussing on the screens. But today Im feeling waaay better. :P Yeah so I put this story up on facebook already but last night I was on PEG- Pavilion Exit Greeter. Basically you stand at the outside doors and wave and smile for 45 minutes lol. Anyways I was doing that, then a lady comes up and is like "Is it still raining?". What the heck? Surely she can find out just as easily as I can... I didnt quite manage to contain myself and told her that she should walk outside and see if she gets wet. Oops. Lol. I dont think anything else interesting has been happening... Yeah. Hope you guys are all good. EMAIL ME PEOPLE!!!

I have a blocked nose

Hey guys

I feel like death warmed up. Gahhhhh I have a blocked nose and im all overheated and sweaty and yucky. Its all Staceys fault, she was sick then she made Jackie sick, now Jackie made me sick. Michelle has really bad hay fever so basically we are all sick except for Sarah and Caryl. Lucky things.... Anyways so other than feeling gross, we have an apartment inspection today so me and Jackie are currently sitting on the couch waiting for them to get here. We got up early ish this morning to clean up and stuff, had a really really good sweep vacuum and mop, cleaned up the bathroom and stuff. Well... some of us did. We also baked cinnamon rolls- again- they are amazing! To bribe the inspectors. But they didnt arrive fast enough so we ate them all lol. Um what else is new... Not a lot. I need to lie down so Im going to go now! Sorry its a short post, email me!

Oh! The other thing that happened last night

So I was at work, on gates. And I did my speil as usual, because Im a good girl and actually do my speil most of the time unlike some slackers around the place. I finish my speil and ask if anyone has any questions. One guys hand goes up, I ask what the question is, he says "Yeah um do you drink decaf? I think maybe you should." Hahahaha dont worry guys, I still talk WAY too fast :)

OH.MY.GOSH.

AHHHHHH! Ok, so there are two very very exciting things I found out today. Firstly, I have 4 days off in June to go to New York with the flatmates and Renee for Renees birthday! YAY! Secondly, and more immediately exciting, the Donut Man is doing a free concert in Kissimmee on the 7th of March!!! Which unfortunately is a Sunday night and I will be working but I may just try to rearrange my schedule a wee bit to get the Sunday off...... then I have to find a ride there. So Im thinking I might hit up Christian... at least see if hes interested. But wouldnt that be cool!! Id get to see the Donut Man!!!!!!!!! Hehe dont judge me. Ummm what else has been happening. Had work tonight which was work like. Except I was an hour early because I cant read a watch. lol. Then I closed merge. AGAIN. And we were all just calling each other on the phones around the different positions because we were bored so I was crouched behind the merge desk talking and next thing I know flipping Brandon is about 5 cm away from my face yelling RAAAAAAAAH! He gave me SUCH a fright!!! I screamed. I really really need to get him back good. First the phone call while I was in tower and now this... hes going DOWN. Problem is everything I come up with would get either one or both of us termed so Im kinda stuck... any ideas feel free to let me know! Argh and I think Im getting a british accent from everyone mocking me all the time!
Anyways I really need to go blow my nose!!
Talk to yas later!

A massively huge day!

Well well well... three holes in the ground...

Well you see me and Rebecca, the other kiwi from work, have been planning to do animal kingdom. Soooo yesterday we both had the day off! Mean! I rang her at 9 am, but it rang and rang and rang and she didnt pick up so I txtd her. Then she rang me. I dont know why thats important but you have to understand how exciting it is when our phone rings lol. Noone EVER calls us. Aaaanyways, we eventually got to the park and headed to Dinosaur where we waited for 45 minutes for the guys who are kinda weird but hey. Went on dinosaur which was awesome, then on this weird spinny ride. Did most of the rides at Animal Kingdom, and me and Bex had an awesome little distracted side track where we saw people eating funnel cakes so went on a funnel cake hunt and on the way found Pocohontas just arriving so went and got photos, then got funnel cake. Then got a phone call saying "where are you? You were meant to meet us about 15 minutes ago" lol oops. Funnel Cake is INCREDIBLE. Its basically a really really big squiggly donut covered in icing sugar. Mmmmmmmmm. I dont understand how Americans eat a whole one themselves though... we felt a bit sick after eating half of one each. Well I kinda understand how they eat a whole one. Its the not throwing up part I dont get lol. And on the way back to the guys we found one of those picture things where you stick your head in the hole and take photos so you look like a scuba diver or whatever. So we got a wee bit excited and pushed in front of some small children to get photos :). Ummm what else did we do at Animal Kingdom? Ohhh we went to the petting zoo, "affection section". Lol. It was actually kinda gross. Im not usually the kind of person who gets angry about zoos and stuff but far out it was sooo bad. There were sheep and goats and things and they all looked sooo sick. There was no grass or anything, they were on this playground kinda thing. It was weird. We left pretty fast! It was pretty late by then - 5 pm or something like that- so we went outside and caught the bus to Hollywood Studios. By this stage we had ditched the guys because we are nice like that. Sooo we got there and were going to go on Tower of Terror and RockinRoller Coaster but got distracted again by pretzels. By this time there were HUGE crowds of people lining up for Fantasmic which was the reason we were there in the first place so we thought hey we should probably get in line... good thing we did because we got pretty much the last seats in the amphitheatre. It was AMAZING! So so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There were fireworks and water fountains and movies on the water and the water on fire and princesses and Mickey Mouse- who I absolutely LOVE now for some reason. It was just so cool. Would most definitely go again, even if I had to brave the crowds! So yeah saw that, tried to go on tower of terror but the line was stupid so we fought our way BACK through the crowds- who needs rides when you have crowds like that??- got very lost trying to find the bus stop, and came home. Yaaay. Was a fantastic day :) And today Im not working til 6pm! So essentially another day off. Have a MAGICAL day!

Annnnd still not much to report... why I bother I do not know.

And howdy doody.

As the title of this blog suggests, there is still not a lot to report in the world of Kristy. Please please please all email me what is going on in the lives of y'all. -Just a note, I dont actually say that yet, but please start preparing yourselves for me to say it by the time I come home. Sooo many people say it here! And I caught myself saying "tan" instead of "ten" the other day... picking up that aussie accent... kill me now. Sooo my day... went to Walmart with this guy I met on the bus lol. Hes friends with one of my work buddies. So yeah he was nice and gave me a ride to save me sitting on the bus for aaaaaaaaaages. Then me him and his friend- the one I know from work- went to Cici's for lunch. Im pretty much addicted to that place, not gonna lie. :) Then we went to Hollywood Studios, pretty much just did Rockin Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror then left again because I had to get home to get organised for Bible Study. Poor guy got abused by these two little girls in the line. We were talking to them because it was a long line but they decided I was their favourite and that... lets see if I can get this straight... His head was a toilet, his nose was a banana and the rest of him was made of poop. Haha. Annnyways. Then I got home and got organised, realised Id been reading my watch wrong so thought Id go online and was fortunate enough to catch the lovely Ashleigh the Girl online! So that was fantabulous. Then I just finished talking to her annnnd Paul signed in! So I had a really good chat to him as well. That made my day even more fantastic. And THEN as if my night wasnt great enough I went to Bible Study which made me happy. On the way back Christian was talking about how theres this old abandoned Chinese theme park around here somewhere that you can go and explore. Welll.... you arent meant to, but apparently so long as you avoid the homeless people its reasonably safe. Sounds like SO much fun! Apparently there are tunnels to climb through and things and an old abandoned temple kinda thing... and if you go at 2 am ish you dont even have to run away from the security guard because hes gone home!!! :D
Anyways Ill leave you all with a mental image of me getting eaten by homeless people!
Going to Animal Kingdom tomorrow which should be fantasmagorical,
Adios!!

And another day involving a spectacularly up himself person

Hellloooooooooo!

Hoping NZ is treating you all fantabulously. Yesterday was a really good day at work! Who you are working with makes such a huge difference to how the day goes... I was basically stuck right in the middle of a big group of CPs- College Programme. So that was good. One of the guys was picking on me- like they all do, im an abuse magnet I think- he shut me in the little corridor thing between the theatre and the gates! But later he says "You know I only pick on you because I like you right? I dont like any of the other CPs, they are all American and boring. Im American too but I only like international people" -side note, "like" as in friends.- His name is Kyle but he calls himself Jevin because Kyle is apparently too common. So I kinda told him (quietly because we were at work) to get his head out of his butt and stop being such a snob. Its so funny, I can say these things here and get away with it! Its the power of the accent! Its awesome! The best bit was, about 5 minutes later, he was down the corridor talking to some of the other American CPs. Go me. But honestly, how up yourself can you get!? They are all lovely too, its not like they are weird or anything. Ummm what else. Got stuck on merge for a couple of rotations. Everyone HATES merge cos you get abused. But once again, power of the accent, I have so far never been yelled at. They are all nice to me! One of the guys is really jealous because he always seems to be on merge when theres a riot and everytime Im on there its all sweet as. Oh and I closed merge last night. It sucks. You stand there for half an hour or so by yourself, with nothing what so ever to do, waiting for a phone call telling you you can turn the lights off. Lol

Have a fantasmagorical day!

Hakuna matata....

Hey all

Not a lot to report- as per usual- I went to church again yesterday which was great, I have decided its not so much like LIFE church after all. Probably closer to Greenlane or St Pauls- Christchurch equivalent would be St Albans probably. Only bigger. Lots bigger. Ill take a photo next time. Its crazy. Ummm yeah so went there, then went with Alex, Christian- the guy who gives us a lift to church, hes awesome, he has the most twisted sense of humour ever... and comes from a place called "niceville". Is that just asking for crap or what?? Christian from Niceville....- annnnyways and his room mate Patrick- I have met soooo many Patricks!!- this is a very lonng sentence, to Moes for lunch. Moes is pretty much Subway only they do Mexican food. So I got Nachos which were huuuuge but I was determined to finish them anyways. They were really good. I think we entertained the guy behind the counter, me and Alex had no idea what we were doing. You guys know what Im like with decisions... I actually ended up saying "I dont care, put what you want on it". He was like "but its YOUR nachos..." So I just got everything other than the yucky stuff like cucumbers. And they gave me a cupful of liquid cheese to pour over it. Which we thought was disgusting until we tried it and were kinda converted cos it tasted like especially good sour cream. Lol. Then I came home and had 10 minutes to get changed and make a packed tea to take to work before I caught the bus. Went to work... a couple of funny moments, theres this video that comes on with a guy called Patrick- see?!? Everyones called Patrick! - ad he goes over all the safety stuff. One of the little kids at my gate looks at me i absolute disgust and says "What is WRONG with that man?!!?" Hahaha. And then I was on tower and Marcus had to leave the theatre before I could dispatch the ride but he couldnt get out the door, somehow the handle had got stuck... So we had all these very grumpy people stuck in their seats until maintenance came and let him out. Other than those moments though it was a reasonably crappy day, it was really busy, 2 hour wait, so people were tired and grouchy and abusing everyone lol. Was ok for me, I was in gates all day but one of my friends got stuck at merge for ages and just got abuse constantly... might take him some chocolate today. But yeah... turns out I had a bit more to blabber on about than I thought!!
Have a great day guys

Well that was fun... not...

Hey guys

Well last night I worked until 12.45am. I got home at about 1.30, bed about 2... and up at 7!! Woohoo! Haha I wasn't too with it for the first half hour or so of work, and it really didnt help that I was on Gate B which is where you have to put 11 people in each row instead of 10 so it messes with your head a bit more... screwed up the first couple of flights cos I was just not awake. Hahahahaha and something really funny happened that even now I have to try really hard not to laugh when I think about it. Theres a lady I work with whos kinda old and annoying- not that those two things go together but she just happens to be both. And scary. Thats another good adjective for her. Anyways she was grumping at me for something or other and was getting on my nerves a bit when I went and started loading my gate. As i swung my arm out to show the guests where to go- and I swear this was entirely accidental!- I smacked her right across the face!!! I had no idea she was even standing there lol. So yeah... oops :S. But other than early mornings and accidental assault I dont think theres too much to report! One of the guys I work with was drunk so that was interesting... you could smell it on his breath too it was kinda gross. And yeah! Thanks again for reading my pile of meaningless drivel! Eat some pineapple lumps for me :)

Dunnnnnnnn Dun dun dun dun Dunnn da Dun...

I WENT TO PHANTOM OF THE OPERA LAST NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, that is a completely appropriate amount of exclamation marks to show the amount of amazingness involved. It was so so so so so so incredible. I think it might have even been better than the one in Vegas. Honestly, any of you who have been to anything musical with me know how annoying I can be if I decide they are out of tune... I couldnt fault it at ALL! Except for Meg, she was a bit off at times but I think she was an understudy so thats allowed. Christine, Phantom and Raoul were all amazing, as were the sets and the costuming and the effects and pretty much everything else about it. The only sad thing was that we all had to catch a bus to the social security office at 6 am yesterday morning so I was kinda tired by the second half of phantom. I was having to use all my focus to keep my eyes open... Imagine falling asleep at Phantom of the Opera. How pathetic would that be?? But I didnt so its all good :) SO yeah that was incredible. Yesterday we spent the late morning and afternoon at Hollywood studios which was pretty cool, didnt really do a lot but it was good times. Yeah that was my day. I have work today from 5-1am and tomorrow from 8.45 am-2pm. So might not get a lot of sleep by the time the stupid bus gets me home lol. Ive been trying to suck up to one of the girls who has a car but Im not sure if she finishes at the same time as me or not. But yeah thanks for reading my pointless ramblings!!!

Morning sunshines....

Ok.

The last couple of days have been reasonably eventful ish. I had the day off yesterday so I went on a much needed Walmart mission- I was completely out of food. But now I have food so you can all stop worrying :). And I went on a mission to Magic Kingdom Backstage to check out Cast Connection which is this place that sells all the clearance kind of stuff from Disney to cast members for really really really cheap. Dont tell Matty but I found him a star wars clone costume for $5. I hope it fits, it might be too small... Then I hung out here while Michelle disappeared to a Mardi Gras event thing at Chatham and Jackie and Renee brought a couple of movies home. Then I went to Bible Study! Which was exciting! Its so funny, I think Kiwi accents are a bit of a novelty around here lol. I actually got told by the guy who drives me there that "you could be the ugliest person in existence and have no personality what so ever and everyone would love you just because youre from New Zealand". Lol. HAHA I just farted on Michelles feet... anyways! They were talking about a camping trip that they are going on for church or something last night and they said a couple of the guys were going to cook using Dutch Ovens................. I had to focus soooo hard to not crack up laughing........... Oh! And the guy who drives me to church has offered me a ride to see Wicked in Tampa!!! So me and him and his girlfriend and a couple of other people are going to go sometime. Yay!! This morning we had an appointment at the social security office. At 6.10 am. FUN! We just got home so it must have been about 3 hours of sitting half asleep in a queue. That wasnt the highlight of my trip so far lol. So yeah. Were going to go to Hollywood Studios soon, hit up the Tower of Terror and Rockin Roller Coaster again :P YAY!
Have a magical day guys!

I have a stalker

Ok so heres the story...

I was just chilling down by our little lake pond thingymajig reading my book and this guy came over and started talking to me which isnt really that weird here, everyones really friendly. But anyways I was just chatting to him then I was like hey Ive got to go back to my apartment to get organised for work- as in, hey nice chatting but you can go now- and he followed me!! Lol so he was kinda awkwardly sitting in the lounge talking to my flat mates while I went and got into my costume, stayed here for an hour or so until I had to go, then I left assuming that once I left he would too and leave my flat mates alone. Problem was, he didnt. He stayed until about 4- he came over at about 12- because the flat mates were too nice to say go away. But then they made excuses about having to go to walmart and kicked him out... apparently he came back about half an hour later and wrote his number on the white board and for me to call him. Creepy. That was bad enough. But then aat about 11.30 pm we were all hanging out watching TV and stuff and there was a knock on the door!! Jackie looked out the peep hole and guess who it was?! Soooo.... we didnt answer the door and hid in my room until he was gone. :)

So thats my creepy stalker guy... We now have a note in big letters on the white board saying "Kristy, bring NO more strays home". lol. Anyways other than that, everything is alllll good :) I get tomorrow and the next day off. :P

See yas, EMAIL ME PEOPLE!
